How the Online Image Resizer Works
The ClickAndDone Image Resizer allows you to scale picture width and height to exact pixel dimensions. Resampling is performed client-side using browser Canvas rendering engines.
Key Features & Resizing Rules
- Aspect Ratio Lock: Enabled by default to prevent image distortion. Changing the width automatically updates the height proportionally.
- Maximum Canvas Limits: Supports image dimensions up to 8192×8192 pixels and 16.7 megapixels to safeguard against browser memory overflow.
- Format Export: Choose JPEG, PNG, or WebP format for output images.
Technical Note on Image Scaling: Downscaling large images reduces file size and loading times for web usage. Note that upscaling low-resolution images increases pixel dimensions but cannot restore missing visual detail.
